There are many converstions going on in Flickr so just an update for this blog that we are just about ready to fly !!!!

For the life of me i can not think of a name to give this.... thing... he hee I just cant get past the fact that it looks like a frog winking at me... I am sure there is some Freudian explaination for that little gem

Surpsrise mail

Are you interested in joining a surprise mailing list? I have started a list of people interested in chosing a random name off the list, once a week, to send a tangle to in the mail !!! how much fun will that be !!!

Some weeks one person may get many and others only one but it will be fun to see what comes, we are going to use the size that comes in the kit, its 8cm x 8cm or any small size will be ok i am sure, we dont want to make it a chore.

Bright Ideas

This was inspired by a stage of lots of ideas popping into my head, bright ideas about lots of things, must be the right brain left brain thing kicking in with all this art I am doing :)

This one was fun, i was thinking it represented openings and new beginnings, like sunriseo or openings or happiness , who knows, it is my favourite but not a big hit with the kids when they got home and saw it, .... note to self... dont hinge your self esteem on your teenage kids !!!

Personal bill of rights Tangle

Have you heard of the "Personal Bill of Rights"?, well i got it in my head to do a zentangle on each of the Rights we all have, .... along with the little girl person there in the right hand corner..... not such a success actually, she looks like she is under the sea and you cant even see the writing :).. oh well, back to the drawing board hey

Zen "Colour" Tangle

wow, this was hard, i find it really difficult to make anything look good with colour :) Black and white certainly is my friend !! I always feel like with colour that i am starting off behind and have to do something remarkable to redeem the work... this looks better here than it actually does , my first go at those little boxes... we know i love boxes dont we !

This is a wall plaque about an A4 size, I thought i would get it framed with a black border, mat thingy ar0und it... yours is coming maddy !! big hit with the kids actually and now i have orders for more !!!!

Boxes :)

Well, I am really just sending myself up here, if you know anything about me, you know that I have a tendancy towards boxes !! ... very comforting boxes.... so as I fight between my brain and my intuition... the boxes still pop up from time to time :)

Look hard

So here it is put inside the card, if you look hard you can see the heart and I have Zentangled the outside of the card to match, AND I took the kids advice and tangled right up to the baby, and included it a bit more, it looks funny scanned but the actually card looks coolies :)

I made this to go inside a card, the card has a cut out heart on the front and the baby shows through the front, sounds daggy doesnt it ? but it looks better than what i am explaining it here. The kids (who never cease with ideas on what i should and shouldnt have done) thought I should have tangled right up to the baby, maybe they are right?

Wood Burning Zentangle

I purchased a little pen like wood burning tool and some soft wood and was so excited to get home and try to Zentangle it..... it looks better on the picuture than it does in real life and the picture isnt even looking too good !!! it was really hard to control although i did improve but I feel like....ewwww, why cant i make anything look good !!!!!....oh could it be impatience ?? he heee

Tangle confusion

I think this zentangle tells the story of how cofused and annoyed my brain was last night... I had spent the day trying to get my USB stick non write protected and after hours of grrrrrrr, it was nice to sit down to tangle, but I felt icky and the jumbled confusion of the day shows up in my creation i am sure !!!!!

Life without Borders

Zentangling is such a medatitive thing to do, I was sitting last night and decided to experiment with no borders and see how free I could get it, this is still very limited as I am not used to moving outside the box !

Alternate Surfaces to zentangle

I painted these pegs and zentangled them, stuck magnets to the back and I have them on the fridge for holding papers !, like i said... no surface is safe :)











The small box is so cute, but is a bit shiny and tended to smudge a bit

I found these cute little boxes and could not resist Zen Tangling them, This is one of the bigger ones and was a bit easier to handle, also, this one is less shiny than the little ones so did not smudge as i moved it around
